How do I add my service to the marketplace?
❔ What is Joy?
Joy exists to make it easy for frontline healthcare professionals, such as GPs, to discover and refer patients to your service and other local organisations—just as easily as prescribing a pill.
At a high level, Joy connects your service with local healthcare professionals, including GPs, social prescribers, and social workers, allowing them to refer patients quickly and efficiently.
🗺️ Exploring the Joy Platform
As a service provider, you’ll have a range of tools which help you use the platform. Importantly, you have full control over what GPs and other professionals see, so you can showcase your amazing work for referrers.

Edit Your Information – Update service details at any time.
Manage Availability – If you're at full capacity, you can pause referrals.
Control Referral Access – Choose whether to accept referrals from specific GPs or allow self-referrals.
Customise Referral Forms & Pathways – Accept referrals via email, your website, or another portal with easy in-built pathways.
Before going live, you’ll want to ensure all information is accurate and up to date for healthcare professionals.

As a Joy partner, you’ll receive a free data dashboard to help demonstrate your impact. This dashboard provides insights into:
Where your referrals are coming from
Reasons for referrals
Patient health and well-being improvements (since Joy is linked to medical records)
This data is automatically collected for you—no extra work is required on your end!
👩⚕️ How GPs Use Joy
Joy is integrated directly into GP clinical systems, making it easy for them to discover and refer patients to your services.
When a GP selects a patient’s need (e.g., mental health support), Joy displays local services that match. The information you provide on Joy will appear here.
Referral Process:
The GP selects your service.
Your customised referral form is automatically populated with patient details from their medical record.
The referral is sent directly to you!
This system ensures quick referrals for GPs while providing you with accurate, reliable patient information.
📥 Receiving & Processing Referrals
When a referral is made through Joy, you’ll be notified—typically via email. If you prefer a different method, Joy can be configured accordingly.
From the email, you can:
Accept the referral
Decline the referral
Message the referrer with an update
This process is simple and efficient, requiring minimal effort to manage referrals.
