📌 Note: this process slightly differs from the referral process that GPs and practice staff will complete when referring a patient to your service. It is a quicker process so that you can easily transfer the patients onto the Joy system and start using Joy immediately!
Ensure you have 'Social prescribing' (shown below) in the external views panel on the left side panel of EMIS before completing this process. If you cannot see it please contact [email protected]
Open up EMIS
Select and open up a patient 👇 that you want to transfer to Joy
Select 'Social Prescribing' 👇 from the external views on the bottom left of EMIS (you may need to open the sidebar by clicking on the vertical ‘view my record bar’)
4. This should open the Joy portal home page. Then click the 'Refer now' 👇 button under Caseload Transfer
5. This will open up a short referral form that will require you to fill in your name ✍️ so that you can pick up this patient easily on the Joy end.
6. Click 'Send' 👇
7. Repeat steps 1-5 for all of the patients you are needing to transfer onto Joy
8. Go to case.thejoyapp.com then go to the 'inbound referrals' tab 👇
9. Accept each patient into your caseload from case.thejoyapp.com by clicking on 'Open' 👇 next to their name within the case management software and selecting 'Accept' 👇
10. Congratulations! You have now transferred your caseload to Joy CMS! 🎉
