Finding Services & Service Details

Written by Nico Campodonico

You can search the Marketplace, apply filters, and read a service listing to decide if it is right for your patient.

Before you start

Load and verify the correct patient first. Check the search location is appropriate for the patient, not just your own location. Available actions depend on the service.

Step by step

Saved Services

At the top of the services page you'll see your Saved Services. These are services that have been pre-saved for you by your organisation, services you've saved yourself directly from the Marketplace, and any services you use regularly.

Saved Services are a quick shortcut — if you refer to the same services often, saving them means you don't need to search the Marketplace every time. You can save any service to this list directly from its detail page in the Marketplace.

Finding services in the Marketplace

Click on the All Services button at the top of your page.

  1. With your patient loaded, click on the All Services button to go to the Marketplace section.

  2. Type a need, service type, or keyword into the search bar — for example "social isolation", "food bank", or "walking group".

  3. Use the filters to narrow results: location, radius, category, price, and sort order.

  4. Browse the results list — each card shows the service name, a short description, and distance.

Search by need, not service name

Searching for what your patient needs (for example "loneliness" or "debt advice") often finds more relevant results than searching for a specific service type.

Service details

  1. Click on a service card — either from Saved Services or the Marketplace — to open the full detail view.

  2. Review the service description to confirm it matches your patient's need.

  3. Check the eligibility criteria — age range, area, referral requirements, or any other restrictions.

  4. Note the location and whether the service is in-person, online, or both.

  5. Check whether the service supports referral, signposting, or both — this tells you what actions are available.

Check the result

You have reviewed the service's suitability, eligibility, delivery location and available actions before referring or signposting.
