📌 Note: This article needs to be followed by a Practice Manager to ensure that the appropriate users have the correct EMAS permissions to enter information into the clinical record.
Click the EMIS ball
Choose “System Tools”
Choose “EMAS Manager”
4. Choose "Partner API" from the bottom left
5. Find 'Joy' in the list on the Partner API
6. Press “Activate application” and double-check it is activated, Joy will have a green tick beside the name once it’s been activated
7. You should now see green ticks under the service message details for Joy
8. Make sure "Joy" is selected
9. Click “Edit Users”
10. Click on "User" to alphabetise the list
11. Find the names
“Connect, Joy” OR “Pungo”, OR “App, Joy” OR “Partner, API” with username APIUSER
And any staff who may be connecting/signposting patients to local services e.g.. Please don’t untick any users who are already ticked.
This includes:
GPs and clinicians who may signpost a patient to support during a consultation
Admins Staff handling appointment requests
ARRS roles such as Social prescribers/health coaches/care coordinators
12. Tick the box next to their name
13. Set password(s) as “Monday123”, please ensure that this password has been typed in correctly. If it hasn’t been typed in correctly, you will be unable to connect to Joy. You may need to press the change password button.
14. Click OK
15. Click "Log in Access"
16. Click on "User" to alphabetise the list
17. Tick both boxes for “auto” and “allow login”, please don’t untick any users who are already ticked
18. Click “OK”
19. You have now updated the EMAS permissions correctly! 🎉
