First up, introducing πŸ₯... JoyNotes, our powerful new AI transcription tool. πŸ“½οΈ Video Edition

✍️ JoyNotes is our brand-new AI transcription tool!

The smarter way for GPs to take notes.

Our focus is on creating a more preventative healthcare system. As we do that, we will tackle health inequalities whilst reducing pressure on both primary and acute care. Where tech companies focus on increasing the efficiency of clinicians by 5-10%, there isn't anything that helps tackle and reduce the demand for GP appointments.

That's why we built JoyNotes.

JoyNotes transcribes and summarises your consultation, along with drafting your referral letter πŸ“. It also identifies and files back SNOMED codes, saving even more time.

Whilst it reduces your admin burden, JoyNotes also identifies the wider determinants of health, highlighting patients who would benefit most from preventative care and then allows you to refer them in three clicks πŸ‘‡. Reducing your admin burden, whilst also reducing demand.

JoyNotes is currently in a pilot πŸš€ (so not widely available yet) as we work with amazing existing customers to refine this powerful new tool.

πŸ’‘ However, we can share some already built features:

  • It’s connected to JoyConnect – the widget already installed on your PCN’s computers. Because we’ve built out this integration, notes can be saved directly into the clinical system without needing to switch between third-party software or browsers.

  • The transcription scans for SNOMED codes and allows clinicians to easily add them to consultation notes.

  • Based on the conversation, it can identify preventative care referral options, which we’ve built into the workflow.

πŸ› οΈ Bug Fixes

  • Client Cases (Rolling out gradually): We've resolved several issues to improve your experience, including fixes to staff member filtering, general filter usability, form error handling, and bulk upload functionality.

  • SMS Delivery: Introduced a queueing system to ensure SMS messages are reliably sent, even during peak times.

  • Marketplace: Resolved occasional issues where the marketplace was unavailable during referral creation.

πŸ’‘ Tool Highlight: Lists

Lists are an amazing way to keep large numbers of patients organised, as you can group them in various ways. It also allows you to cut down admin time on patients with similar needs in various ways.

πŸ“‹ Using lists, you can:

  • Create bulk client records πŸ“ - You can bulk add a client record, such as a note or contact, to every client in a list. For example, if they all attend the same support group.

  • Send bulk emails πŸ“§ - Using lists, you can send an email to everyone on a list from the messages tab. For example, sending bulk recommendations to clients with similar needs.

  • Bulk add tags 🏷️ - You can tag everyone in a list at once, allowing you to group their data and filter groups of patients on the dashboard and clients page.

πŸ“° Social Prescribing News

Ever wonder what we are reading at Joy to stay up-to-date on our customer's needs? Look no further!

Forton Medical Centre in Gosport has built a community garden behind their practice, creating a space for volunteers and patients. It provides an amazing case study on how social prescribing and community-based approaches can really make an impact!

"A study of more than four million patient records shows that the rollout of Social Prescribing Link Workers has led to improved patient outcomes and experiences." This article breaks down this research into the effect of social prescribing in a nice, digestible format.

This wonderful article tells the story of a patient in Leicester whose mental health was helped by the amazing social prescribers in her area. Those of you who are eagle-eyed will also see one of our adverts in partnership with LLR ICB in the background of one of the article's pictures πŸ‘€.
